Get Rid Of Google Screen on Sony TV
If you have a relatively new Sony TV, you may have had your regular TV viewing disturbed by an unfamiliar screen that shows various apps and options. This is (IMO) Google's attempt to get some of those sweet, sweet streaming dollars from Amazon, Netflix, YouTube TV and the like. However, you have the power to defeat the evil overlords of the Internet and to get back to your regular, scheduled viewing by following the steps in the videos below. NOTE: These changes got rolled out about a year ago. We have seen instances where these settings get changed, even after you have made the needed tweaks. If you turn off the Google settings and the problem returns in the future, just repeat the steps and you should be back-in-business.
