This is the place to find out about the latest television and stereo sales, why 4K TVs are great and which surround sound receiver is best for you. Check us out frequently for information about monthly audio/video sales and tidbits about the electronics industry.

Would you rather have GOOD stuff or BAD stuff? Sometimes our budgets dictate that we have the latter. However, here at Aire Theater Designs it is our job and mission to save the citizens of San Diego from BAD audio, video and home theater. If your budget determines that you have BAD audio/video equipment but you want GOOD stuff, follow this blueprint to build the home theater of your dreams by buying it in steps.

STEP 1: Choose a quality audio/video receiver and a pair of speakers: You want to choose a home theater receiver that allows you to hook up EVERYTHING that you want to connect today in addition to components that you may want to add tomorrow. You don't want to scrimp on your speakers as they make more of a difference, dollar-for-dollar, than anything else in your system. If you have just been listening to the TV speakers or an all-in-one home theater in-a-box, you will be BLOWN AWAY at the realism that your new system offers for music and movies.

STEP 2: Add a subwoofer: The subwoofer will add the lower bass frequencies that make an on-screen Tyrannosaur scare you and really gives you the UMMPPH of the theater. What many people realize once the subwoofer is in the system is that music sounds SO MUCH BETTER once you add this speaker. You will literally hear notes and nuances in your favorite song that you have never experienced.

STEP 3: Add a pair of tower speakers:  Now you are stepping it up a notch in your theater. Adding better speakers to the front of the room will give you more presence, realism and impact for your music and movies. Move your existing speakers to the back of the room and listen. Movies will come alive as scenes with objects hurtling front-to-back will now become a reality in your room! Don't forget to duck!

STEP 4: Add a center channel: This last addition will provide you with vocals that seem to come out of the TV. This final add to the system will help to "build a stage" so when scenes play out on-screen in front of you, a tapestry is built where the sounds, vocals and action on-screen come alive right before you. This last piece will put you directly IN the movie.

Now you have the recipe for building a home theater on a budget and we're the company that can provide you with the ingredients. With decades of experience, quality brands like Yamaha, Definitive Technology, Martin Logan, Monitor Audio. Denon and others, we can help you to do this right. Call us up if you're interested in enhancing your life through music and movies with a little help from San Diego's leading dealer of audio/video and home theater.

San Diego Sonos information

Danny Salisbury, Installation Manager

If you haven't noticed, we REALLY enjoy this stuff and want to spread the word. Here's a spot by Danny about one of our toys.

"This is Danny here, ATD's extremely handsome AND knowledgeable Installation Manager.  I wanted to take a little time to share w/ you one of the most versatile, seamless, easy to use and just plain cool music streaming devices out there...the SONOS BRIDGE, CONNECT and PLAY5.

Are you a fan of iHeart Radio or Pandora Internet Radio?  Do you have an iTunes, Rhapsody, or SiriusXM account?  Do you want access to literally 100s of free Internet radio stations?  Well, you can have this and much much more all at your fingertips with SONOS.  And like I said earlier, it is extremely easy to use.  SONOS offers a slick wireless touchscreen controller that is very simple to use. You can even turn your Apple or Droid mobile device into a SONOS controller with a free App from SONOS that you can download.  Like I said...just plain cool.

Not only can SONOS be easily integrated into your existing gear and speaker setup, it can also act as a standalone system w/ the SONOS Play Series (Play1, Play3 and Play5).  This allows you to easily add a wide variety of music sources to any room w/o the headache of pulling wires or purchasing a complete audio system. Got a multiple-story house and want music throughout your home? This is an inexpensive solution that offers a ridiculous amount of music and options.

Sound fun? Call us up and check it out at our office here in San Diego. You'll love it unless John got there first and put on his AM talk radio."

San Diego Sonos TIME!

Sonus

Behold...the Sonos music system. This new addition to our line has changed the way that we enjoy music in our office. If you're lucky, it will change the way you listen at home as well. Read on!

Want to listen to:

1) Pandora Internet radio?

2) Sirius/XM radio?

3) Rhapsody?

4) iTunes?

5) AM/FM?

6) Music off of your computers?

cool-controller

Instead of juggling 10 different remotes, check out the cool controller above! This small remote will allow you to access all of the above music sources EASILY. If you want a larger control, there is an iPad application that gives you more information and a larger screen to work with.

With this system, you have the capability to easily add music to other areas. Want music in the Kitchen and office? This system allows you to add a speaker in each area WIRELESSLY and to listen to music right away. Did I mention WIRELESSLY?

Interested? Come check it out over at our offices. We love it and think you will too.
